I also doubt if it was a true free choice, the librarian may have thought it was, but I guarantee Derren influenced the decision, possibly a bit like forcing a card in magic? He could have had a few different sized prepared books, and as long as the librarian picked one that matched the size of one his "prepared" books, the cover could be swapped over?? Any thoughts?
