This implies the "400
page novel" is a gimmick i.e. the trick can't be done
using any book.
IIRC in the MC programme the
librarian has a free choice of all the books in the library
i.e. not a gimmicked book. However didn't DB then take
the book away for
"photo-reading"/preparation/gimmicking. Who knows what DB and his production
team did
with this book when the camera wasn't on
them.
Anyway that's how I remember it - I could be deleting
and distoring the memory (for all you
NLPers).
