Subject: My final Post...
As this group is about to close and as I probably won't be posting in
any of the new ones I wanted to get something off my chest.
I believe, as do others, that DB has posted in this forum to
correct "misunderstandings". He has done so under "false" IDs.
DB or his management has now very kindly offered to put this
unmoderated chat forum onto his own, presumably moderated, official
site. We can only surmise the reason for this. It is possible that
he just thinks this group is cute and would be a nice little add on
to his site. Why they couldn't just create a totally new forum on
the website is anyone's guess.
An alternative view is that DB and/or his management are just a
little too control freakish about his image and reputation for their
own good. If this is true and DB and/or his management read this
post perhaps they could pause for a second and ask themselves whether
it really is important to attempt to control people and their views
in this way. I would suggest that not only is it not desirable but
it's not even possible. The time has come, perhaps, to be confident
enough to let people say what they want - preposterous, stupid,
misinformed and offensive as it may sometimes be without attempting
any real life MindControl...
DB is, without question, the most talented mentalist we've seen for a
very long time. What a shame he or his management appear to insist
on behaving like amateurs who've suddenly tasted fame.
There. I've actually managed to convince myself that any of this
really matters...
