How are you proposing to do this? Have you considered the idea of a
Mindcontrol Techniques website? It could probably do everything the
Yahoo! groups do and more, faster and without ads. For example,
articles could be submitted, which could be reviewed by users - of
course, there would be the forum. Users would be able to upload
files, chat...etc...
