First of all, no that's not a spelling mistake, my name is Hownydude
and I am a howny dude. That means nothing to you, I know. There's
no point explaining, it's an in-joke and wouldn't make sense.

Thanks for all your replies though. Still not really any clearer
about why Derren couldn't read Clare but then I suppose I couldn't
really expect any mentalists reading the group to say "I know how
it's done, the reason it didn't work is...". Been going over what
happened and similar things in my head though, and found that,
mentally re-enacting the "Think of the name of somebody" trick that,
when I imagine Derren saying "say that name to yourself" or some
such, that my throat moved as if to speak the name as I imagined
it... To get a name from something as subtle as that though is
amazing, and as for what he did at the end of the second half...
Well he truly is an impressive dude. And very, very howny!
