Subject: Yeovil
I must say that I was rather stunned by Derren's stamina re. all the
signing etc he did after last night's show.
He came to the bar -we're talking Yeovil by the way- in 'normal' clothes
and had a drink.
At this time there were only about 10 or 15 people in the bar ,but as
he stood with his pint talking to someone,
one of the theatre staff came up and said there were about 100 people
waiting for him to appear downstairs....
So off he went and was still signing stuff when I left at about 11.15.
I'm full of admiration as he must have signed about 300
programmes/posters and he actually talked with everyone briefly.
He remained charming, funny and generally rather lovely throughout this
marathon task .
He did a few tricks and watched a few people doing their favourite card
tricks and was bloody marvellous.
That's the gushing over for now -I meant to just say that he does
genuinely seem to care about the people who
come to see him - and yes I suppose there are lots of cynics laughing at
this right now.............
Ah well!
