I saw a post on here relating to NLP, auto-suggestion
and possible negative uses of these psychological
attributes. Hardly suprisingly more astute ciminals
have picked up on the fact that pattern interrupting
cashiers is profitable and most people in sales are
taught techniques to deal with them. There is even
an out of print book on such methods used, for those
interested, by an ex-cop.
