Actually, everyone in every segment of the Mind
Control series is a stooge....I believe Derren got them
as a job lot from Iggy Pop, who no longer had any
need for them ;)
Actually, I thought that was
a pretty f'n stupid question to ask really....do
you REALLY think Channel 4 would pay Derren to do a
show like that when any muppet could do it as long as
they had enough money to pay off their
stooges?
Do you HONESTLY think that Chess Grandmaster
would voluntarily let himself be made to look like a
simpleton by Derren?
That said, after reading what
Jamie Theakston got a dancer in the Spearmint Rhino to
do for £1,000, well, I guess they're up for anything
if the price is right!
I'm interested to
hear from anyone who can shed light on the 'Which hand
is the coin in?' segment from MC3, specifically the
final part wherein Derren convinces the guy that he can
tell what side up the coin is simply through his nerve
endings. I've no doubt it is a double headed coin of some
sort, and Derren briefly takes it at the end of the
skit, allowing him to switch it for the real one, but I
don't know how he gets it into the guy's hand in the
first place, unless he does it between attempt 3 and 4
wherein the show cuts back to Walthamstow. The reason I'm
so sure it is a gimmicked coin is that Derren
specifically requests a pound coin at the beginning of the
trick.
Any insights on this one?

BTW
Whilst it would be cool to have Derren post on the
group, does anyone know anybody who's actually been on
the show? It would be nice to have them share their
experiences with the group..
